An eminent personality in the field of radiology, Dr. Rajkumar (MBBS, MD) has earned for himself a place of distinction as a brilliant radiologist, politician and above all a social activist. He is a senior radiologist with more than 25 years of experience in his chosen field. At present he heads the Raj Group of Diagnostic Centers with its head office at Hoshiarpur. His father was on a very small position serving “Indian Army” throughout his career. His schooling was done in a very poor, Punjabi medium govt. School under very tough circumstances.

Dr. Rajkumar got his primary education in the SBAC Senior Secondery School, Bajwara his native place and continued in the same school till his Matriculation. On completion of his matriculation, he got admission in Govt. College, Hoshiarpur. After secondary education he reached Government Medical College and completed his MBBS and MD, while remaining active participants of various student bodies of the College students as well as of Central student Association. 

Career Initiative

Good academic record gave him opportunity to start his passionate profession of radiology in the most prestigious hospitals of Delhi, viz. AlIMS & Safdarjung Hospital. Radiology is his passion. After getting valuable experience from there he started his professional career from a scratch, adding feathers to his cap one by one. A great exemplary self made personality, today owns 6 diagnostic scanning centres in Hoshiarpur, Dasuya, Ropar, Kapurthala & Gurdaspur all equipped with modern facilities like CT scans, MRI, Ultrasounds, TMT’s & other various diagnostic tools (all under Raj Groups of Scans). Recently adding another feather to his cap he has launched a mega joint venture in the city of Jalandhar by starting a diagnostic centre in the name of “Super Scans”. This is first of its kind in the whole North Indian region with best of its kind highest strength MRI & CT based Angiography machine (where angiography takes just 5 seconds instead of conventional angiography which take about as good as half a day). During his career he came across many a patients from slum areas or he poor families who were unable to pay the charges. All this really touched the inner core of his heart and he started to spent long hour in rural area, urban slums at grass root level to understand the problems of unprivileged sector of society.

He took this job with such a mission that the abandoned department became alive and got attention of all sectors of society.

KOSHISH NGO - An Initiative

Dr. Rajkumar along with few of his fellows  and like minded persons initiated "KOSHISH" (An initiative for social development) NGO with sole objective of Proper healthcare and basic education. He worked in Health, Education, Environment, Care and Communication to give boost to the personal holistic development of poor, which leads to development of the society at large.

Over the past years Koshish and our partners have helped communities to help themselves, so that children have access to their rights including the right to:
