Koshish is an organisation ( A social NGO ) launched with the motto "An effort / Koshish never goes in vain" by our respected founder President Dr. Raj Kumar, who is a dynamic personality apart from being a great doctor (specialist in the field of Radio-Diagnosis) is a great human being as well.

NGO Koshish was launched with the motive of providing:-

1. Better health services to the poor / needy, most deserving people through medical camps (More than 300 medical camps have already been conducted by specialist doctors in and around various villages of Hoshiarpur. More than 3 Lakh patients have benefited from the same.)
2. "Save Girl Child Campaign" against Female Feticide to save females through induced abortions. Already an aggressive campaign launched through slogans / seminars.
3. To educate people about ill effects of drugs & to motivate them to get out of addiction and it’s hazards.
4. To work for the welfare of orphans esp. Females / fatherless / motherless children,( Already working on this for last 5 year or so).
5. To provide free education in slums (already about 150 children been given free education in the village of Chabbewal).
6. To help senior citizens esp. whose children are residing abroad, away from them (Already working on for this for last 4-5 years).
7. To arrange for the marriage of poor & deprived girls (Several mass/group marriages have already been conducted by Koshish for the last couple of years).
8. Prevention of environmental pollution through education & motivation (already a number of seminars and lectures being conducted.)
9. Adoption of blind / handicapped children. Already a blind school has been adopted in Hoshiarpur district.
10. Any other social work to help the society such as blood donation camps, dental checkups, AIDS awareness seminars, distribution of goods/ clothes to poor & needy, help & rehabilitation at accidental sites, prevention / disinfection for diseases like Malaria / dengue & hundreds of similar causes to benefit & help the society. Different projects & teams working on it for last 5-6 years on all of the issues.
